We Offer a Challenge
We are unlike any experience available to youth today. The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a challenging, rigorous, military-based youth program. This difference is what is so appealing to families AND kids, to experience something new, different, and rewarding to anyone who is driven enough to join us.

Through our youth program, kids recognize their potential and learn to succeed beyond the limits they set for themselves. This helps youth understand responsibility, teamwork, and what it takes to be independently successful while still in the safety of being home.

We Prepare Kids for College and Employment
We offer personalized mentorship for youth. Their goals become our goals. We are 100% committed to help kids reach their fullest potential and achieve their dreams. We become involved, help open closed doors, and become lifelong supporters of their hard earned successes!

Want a scholarship for college? Graduates of our youth program can apply to our youth program's exclusive scholarship to help them attend the college/university of their choice.  Annually, we award over $200,000 in scholarship funds. We help our graduates also apply to and write scholarship essays. Reflecting upon our unique experiences help with telling a very compelling personal story!

Know that college isn't for you? Our experiences also help when creating resumes when applying to jobs. Our youth program offers multiple professional certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid, cybersecurity, FEMA, welding, SCUBA, business software systems, leadership, and more.

Community Service Hours
We work directly in our Rhode Island community making a difference where it matters. We often get asked to march in parades, present color guards at events, attend Air Shows, Commissioning ceremonies, and Fleet Week New York.

We are ALWAYS proud to assist our local veteran organizations, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Legion, Navy League, the Rhode Island Veterans Home Community Living Center, the Rhode Island Veteran's Cemetery, and Operation Stand Down Rhode Island.

Leadership Skills, Respect, and Self-Confidence Building
Youth gain self-confidence by our adventures and earning recognition for their hard work and accomplishments. We do not give out participation trophies. Everything given is earned, just like in life. Our newest Recruits learn to follow in the footsteps of our older Senior Cadets because they look up to them as role models, mutually earning their respect.

We encourage each Cadet to set goals and strive for excellence. Cadets make lifelong friends at our trainings and never forget the time they had in our youth program!
